Orly Alon Merguei : The project founder of WELLPAPER in India” visited Myanmar from September 11th – 12th, 2016. Her project , “Women’s Empowerment through Local Livelihood (or) the WELLPAPER project, as it is more commonly known, began in 2005. The project’s main goal is to create alternative livelihood for women from the villages, as well as from different fields, to promote products made of recycled materials. During the days, she conducted the following lectures: her experience on sharing - “WELLPAPER - Women’s Empowerment through Local Livelihood “ 1) 11th September 2016 (Sunday) at “Akhaya Women” - about 20 participants from their Network community participated. 2) 12th September 2016 (Monday) at “ Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs’ Association” – about 18 EC & Members of MWEA led by Daw Hnin Wai – General Secretary of MWEA participated.
